I live in Albany, OR, with my husband and four children. The mountains, waterfalls, coast, and forest all have my heart and I'm happiest when I'm exploring them. The next best thing is curling up with a good book on a rainy day (and Oregon gives us plenty of those!).
Family is so important to me, so naturally I was drawn to family photography. I love to capture authentic connection and create beautiful artwork that will help you remember this time with your newborn, growing (or grown!) children, and high school senior. Let's chat! I
My love of travel and languages led me to a degree in Linguistics with a double minor in TESOL and Arabic at BYU. I studied in Mexico, Namibia, Syria, and Morocco before settling back in Oregon to raise my babies close to family. Photography has always been a passion of mine, so it was a natural fit to turn it into a career I love.
My babies are growing up and moving out, and I'm so thankful for the beautiful pictures I have documenting their childhood. I'm excited to be able to create the same for you.

grew up in a small town in southern Oregon, and that's where I met the cutest 16 year old boy who 6 years later became my gorgeous husband.

A Look into my
Life
I'm one of 8 children. My parents were both teachers in addition to owning a video store (remember those?) and several rental houses. They taught us to work hard and to play hard. We spent our summers fixing up houses, working at the store, fishing, trying out experiments for my dad's 6th grade science class, and taking family trips to San Francisco to visit my grandparents. I was so lucky to grow up just down the street from my other set of grandparents.
Now I'm a mom and wife raising 4 wild and crazy boys of my own. I'm doing my best to instill in them the same work ethic and fun loving attitude my parents taught me.

My Favorite Things
I'm a small town girl at heart, but I love traveling and exploring new places. My mind is always filled with plans for my next adventure, whether that's an afternoon trip to the coast or daydreaming about traveling abroad.
It's hard to pick a favorite, but Morocco is high on my list. I spent a summer there in college, and 20 years later I went back with my mom and 15 year old son. We celebrated her 70th birthday there and made some amazing memories.

Travel
Oregon is gorgeous! We get a lot of rain, but it's worth it for all the beautiful green we get in return.
I live a little over an hour from the coast, and I can never get enough of the beach. Sometimes that looks like a sunny day with my boys, and sometimes its me walking by myself in a rain coat. Either way I love the sights and sounds of the ocean.
The forests, mountains, waterfalls, vineyards, rivers, lakes, ocean, lighthouses, and so much more make me happy to call Oregon my home.

I love, love, love my boys. They're all so different, and I've learned a lot raising them. Mostly I've learned that I have no idea what I'm doing. But we're blundering through it together. We love road trips, being outdoors, board games, watching movies, and laughing.

I love chocolate, pickleball, and a nice hot cup of herbal tea. Not together. But they all make me happy. I bring my favorite mug camping so I can sit by the fire with a "cup of hot" as my grandmother would say.
Mine and Daniel's newest passion is pickleball. He's way better than I am, but if you're ever looking for a game, hit us up! We'd love to play with you.
Random Stuff
Jen White has taken our family photos the last two years and we absolutely love them. She knows what works and how to make you look good and get the pictures you want. We always end up with photos we love when she takes our pictures, even when our toddler isn't being cooperative. I 100% recommend Jen White.

Jen is fantastic to work with! She has done our family photos the last couple years and I am always happy with how they turn out. I’ve got 4 young kids, which can make photos difficult, but she is always great with my kids! She’s so patient with them, and always follows their lead so that my kids have fun and don’t get frustrated. She is efficient and moves quickly through shots which is great with squirrely kids. She always has great site suggestions based on the current season, and she has an impeccable eye for the little details that really makes her photography excellent!

Jen has been taking our family photos for over 10 years. Her talent for capturing our family moments is on display all over my home. She even went so far as to lay down in bee infested grass to get just the right angle for some of my son's senior photos. Her mastery with cameras, lenses, lighting, poses, and editing is unsurpassed. To top it off, we always have a blast and laugh out heads off during the shoot. She is the best. And that's a fact.
